Hello everyone, it has been a long time since any visible change has been done to the review system. You might have notice that there is a big flaw in our review system, which is the fact that old reviews from years ago have never been purged from the system. As time goes by, it becomes obvious that old reviews need to go, otherwise servers that are alive the longest time are going to be at the top of the list forever as their number of reviews add up over the years. That leaves little room for new potential servers to compete with older servers.
To counter this flaw, I would like to annouce that from now on, the default server list ranking will be based on the total results from every review score given to the server
from the past 6 months. Of course I would like to keep the voice of the players who've played on the server from long ago, so there are links located at the top of the server listing table to view reviews made within 1 month, 3 months, 6 months (default), 12 months and all ranges. The rule is still the same, every user can only rate a server once. If a user would like to create a new review for a server he or she previously reviewed, he or she must delete his or her previous review on the server. This makes sense because you can only have one opinion of a server and if the old opinion does not hold true anymore, it's best to delete it.
In addition, two new features are implemented based on suggestions made on the forum. Now you can see the server's primary ethnicity or language on the server listing table. Also new are the

and

icons. They will guide you to any RP (Role Play) or PK (Player Kill) servers in the system.
These new features are available in the server edit page since last month. If you are a server owner, please login to your server owner control panel and edit your server's ethnicity/language and Normal/RP/PK settings. Doing so will help RMS direct more potential players to your server.
I hope these improvements will make it easier for players to find a server where they feel comfortable playing. Thank you for whoever that made those suggestions and gave me ideas for improvement. If you have any suggestion to RMS, you are always welcome to express it in our forum's suggestion section. Thank you for your continous support.
