Alright I am running out of idea of how to start writing an announcement. Oh well, I'd just annouce that another regular update of map/mob/item has been done to the site. If you have been following kRO updates you know there isn't that much to update anyway. Just a second guild base for WoE 2 (
Arunafeltz Guild), and the Moscovia
Field,
Dungeon, and
Town that was added to kRO from Russian RO.
As for new items, again you will see me reuse sprites of many items because "RMS has the tendency to reuse sprites". Okay, that quote really hurts when I hear someone say it. Let me clarify the myth here. When you see something on RMS that uses an old sprite, that's not my choice, it's Gravity! Every time when they put something in the client and has no sprite for it, they use one of their dummy sprite as a place holder so to prevent sprite error. RMS just read the client files and pull out the sprites, so logically it pull out the dummy place holder sprites. Now I hope you don't get me wrong, I always try to update the new sprites when they are released ... when I get the time to.
Okay, now to the main point. I am presenting you our new
Map System,
NPC Search and
Shop Search functions (Refresh your browser now!). Those have been suggested numerous times in the forums and finally here is comes. Basically, I added the NPCs, shops and warps information from eAthena into the each maps. When you click on a map in the mob database you will see what I mean. In each map there are warp labels, NPC labels, shop labels and fixed mob spawn markers (whenever any of them are presented). Furthermore, you can click on a warp label to go to the next map, or click on a shop or NPC label to see more information about the NPC or shop. Take a look a
Prontera for example. For maps with monsters, a brief monster information table can be found below the map for quick reference too. I also added a pull down menu in the
Map Database so you can now search for individual maps. The current area system in the map database is still there if you prefer using that, and a link to "Detailed View of This Map" is added under each map image to let you view the map in the new map system.
The NPC and Shop search comes as a bonus to the map system. Since I already have the NPC and Shop information, so why not make them searchable as well. Another bonus is items that are buyable from NPC shop and venders are now indicated in the item database. It will even tell you the location of the shop.
Okay, I hope that wasn't too confusing. You will understand what I mean as you travel around the site.
There are a few older news that I didn't make an announcement but is equally important. The first is about the
Character Simulator, do you know Riotblade added all the hair dyes and clothing dyes out there into the Char Sim? If not, go try it now! There might be more dyes than you can find on your local servers. Hehe, good news to all the dye addicts.
The second news is about inactive accounts, I would just like to make it clear that server owner or player accounts that has not been logged in for over a year has been deleted. This will be the standard from now on. Hmm. Talking about the rating system, that is where I will head next. Clean it up and achieve some reviews that are over a year ago. Good news will soon to come again!
