By far the BEST server I have ever played. Unique point system used to buy equips that would otherwise be donate-only on other servers. Friendly GMs, often online and providing events. Tons of custom pets, hats and gear, small community but growing fast. 50% Card Drops make it easy to gear up in a short ammount of time. +10!

I originally liked Forsaken for its originality, being one of the very few servers with Old Payon & a multitude of custom hats/equips. However, it has far too many problems than perks. The economy is quite possibly the WORST I have EVER seen, I doubt even a wipe would fix it for long. Also, where are the GMs? I've been playing on and off for 6 months, no GM in sight. Five seconds to loot before it all vanishes? Chat spam in town, unfriendly community, greedy players, the list goes on. Terrible.

EarlyRO has one of the friendliest communities out there. I enjoyed what time I spent there if only for the friendliness of others & the stunning old maps that drew me into Ragnarok ages ago. However I'm sad to say the grind at these insanely low rates brought back some painful memories too, and makes it hard to enjoy hunting/mvping. If they released a mid rate with these old maps my friends and I would be all over it, in the meantime, at best this makes for a nice nostalgic chat room.

Wolf Rebirth is a relatively new server, but I have really enjoyed my time here so far. The community is small, but very friendly. Guild competition and PvP is balanced & exciting. The GMs are very active and provide fun events like the dice room. There is a Hat Quest NPC that can make you almost every hat in game. No overpowered donates. Reasonable rates built to get you into pvp in a short time. All it really needs is more players and this server would be complete RO bliss! Give it a try!

From the surface this server seems like most others out there. It has an extremely low population, I've been playing a month and the most players I've ever seen on at once was 11. It does have a unique quest system with perfectly balanced headgear rewards. I have not seen any PvP or GMs on the server yet. It is confusing when you start out since the main area is inside Splendide, but this place has potential. It's fun for questing and leveling solo, which I enjoy most in a server anyway.

After testing out pretty much every server listed here, I'm certain this is the only 100% pre-renewal server left. Even servers that advertise pre-renewal still have the ugly renewal interface. It is unique in that you turn high novice once you make your character, the experience required prior to 99 is added on so don't let the 150x rate fool you; there is still a bit of leveling to do. I took a point away from all social features as there seems to be no one else online...wish there were.

I've played dozens of different servers over the years and I have to say that DivinityRO is absolutely delightful. For a new server, they are certainly on the right track. You are welcomed by real people as soon as you join. GMs are ALWAYS in town interacting with players. There are loads of mini-games and events, no overpowered gear, no renewal garbage. This is classic RO at its finest with extremely fair rates, a booming community and unique features that won't leave you bored. Come join us!

HMRO is a very special server. One of the last true pre-renewal servers (including interface), it boasts many wonderful features such as free warps to any town, dungeon quests and a crystal NPC in the main town (Amatsu) that you can use to give yourself a one-time exp boost a few times a day, an exp buff to all the monsters you level on or a Valkyrie mercenary that will slaughter everything in your path. I have given the community ratings a 5, since I have yet to see another player or GM online.

Very fun mid-rate server with lots of custom headgears. Donation equips are not overpowered, mostly cosmetic. There is some kind of event every hour. Unlike some other servers, the towns are not covered up with vending merchants. Instead, there is a tidy vending map. 100s of players online at any given time, community seems friendly. There is a holiday event going on now where you can get a bunch of cute xmas hats by hunting down snowmen. I really enjoy this server & hope it sticks around.

heRO has a surprising amount of custom hats, quests, pets, mobs and dungeons without taking focus away from classic content. Players are SUPER friendly and helpful; brings back memories of iRO in the old days. The main chat always has some conversation going. The only thing that could use a little work is the economy. Haven't seen anyone vending refining ores / emp, but they might just sell out fast. Donates are optional and for fun/cosmetic. GMs are active and also friendly. I love this server!
