Payon Stories has too much customization to be considered "respecting the original design" or "a game we all know and love" as it claims, requiring extensive research to get familiar with custom areas, events, items, etc. Lots of custom&renewal sprites. Players are kind&helpful, and each character is a unique player. Modern client with QoL perks such as the zeny bank. Devs tastefully re-balanced many of the class skills which were historically underused and lacking. Very eventful server. Stable.

This is a really cool server, and it's clear how passionate the staff are about it. The staff seem very professional and transparent. They incorporate a lot of community feedback as far as making changes, but they also clearly have a vision for what the game should be, which I've found myself consistently agreeing with. This is a great place to experience classic RO vibes but in a slightly revamped way with the reworked classes, giving it a fresh spin that keeps you from getting bored

Long awaited donation rewards have finally been added. We've been asking for official ways to donate for years now and now it's finally here. The prizes are purely cosmetic costumes. I was surprised to see Sigrun's Wings as one of the first to be added, a beautiful mid headgear costume that usually costs a lot of money on official iRO. Some of the new costumes are very plain and boring looking, and some are borderline hideous. Very promising so far! Looking forward to more cute costumes.
