Best low rate server there is, if you liked OathRO before you'll love PayonStories even more. Not only every single QoL changes and job balancing are still there, it's also being improved as the server goes on.

Staff does weird things to community members. Very toxic community with a lot of RMTers, its already possible to buy zeny but apparently banning someone who kill steals or mentions dual clienting takes priority. ( see reviews below from other people )

Ive tried a lot of servers in my life, the old OathRO was the one that won first place anyway... Creating its successor was a great job by all the GMs. I can only speak from the position of a PvE player, i have not been interested in WoE for the last 15 years. I love the careful approach of the GMs here to class rebalance, custom content that the player would not recognize from the original game and the overall development of the server. By mi opinion, best low rate server at all.

I played on the old server (OathRO) and was a big fan. Super glad that things worked out in the end and the community there didn't have to disband completely. Admins are a great example of managing a community effectively (Minus Oath, of course). They turned it on a dime pretty fast, very impressive considering the circumstances. Looking forward to starting over, as weird as that sounds. Hoping this iteration lasts longer (I'm sure it will)

too many player are like toddlers, unable to compete and only able to report things that shouldnt need to be reported. and the GM switfly responded to the stupid thing. GM can never make a fair decision, without considering reported player. are u going to do rmt secretly again? who knows.

The GMs can ban you without showing any prove. When you ask for clarification and they will feel you're insulting them then they will just ban your discord as well. Technically they are the one are right, players have no option but to accept their "opinion". This is way too arrogant, they not willing to discuss but just want to close the ticket as soon as possible. So when asking a question by "playing the rules", they can't even clarify whether is it correct or wrong. Stupidity at it best.

The best server since a long long time. Many ppl, many parties, you cant get bored. No pay to win system. Friendly community, active discord - annoucements, you can ask questions. I hope for fast new episodes.

awesome server. highly recommend because it is a great community. The server is classic with some balancing modifications which I think are quite good. They are open to feedback and there is plans to progressively add in the new episodes one at a time depending on how the community votes. Server launched January 3rd.

Overall amazing server. Always up, no lag and attentive GMs who care. Events are big and well put together when we have them not just cheap automatic ones. Economy is strong due to low rates. Balance is amazing. Tons of custom changes to the server that are so well integrated and well thought out you’d think this was the way the game should have been made in the first place. Everyone here parties which is amazing. And the gms actually ban the toxic players. Come for a great time and a long time!

Payon Stories is a server made with love. The server is fresh so the economie. Players are friendly and won't hesitate to help you if you ask a question in chat. Everyone is grinding, selling using merchant, afk in Payon and chatting. Party are up pretty quickly from low level to high level. Content is great, Custom content is awesome (and more will come !!) The rebalance of classes is really good in it's current state. The mob rebalance feel better overall ! AND dual client is forbidden !
