The community was comprised mostly of horrible and entitled brats on their discord channel and forums. After much complaining from people it seems like it's been cleaned up. Server has a lot of packet loss issues randomly causing lag and freeze while others see everything fine. BGs are dead, rentals and BG/WoE items only no incentive to pvm players Customization for QoL are good. Needs more intro quest for introduction into the new things though. Forging with emp hammers is amazing.

Rise of Midgard puts in a ton of changes that make playing the game a lot smoother like no transitions. GMs are friendly and enjoy spending time with players by talking and doing events. Server has been a bit shaky due to ddos and other issues but the staff try their best to solve the issues right away.

This is the greatest server experience - you have to give it a chance. At first glance you'll not quite understand the drop rate, the "fading" cards or other customisation. All of it is for server balance - it has been built for long term balance. Once you play here for a little while, it will become clear that the GM team had a solid vision for RO in 2017. You should expect no less from a server and you should expect no more - chances are it will be the last server you need to play. See you on!

First server that i am reviewing because I just love this server too much! The custom changes are good, great community and helpful and friendly GM. Everything doesn't feel like a grind (maybe it's because i am a filthy casual), and there are tons of things to do. WOE is coming soon, and hopefully it will bring more players and competition in ( leaving it at 9 because of that). What the server need is more players, to make things even better!

Just an over-all great server. Always tons of things to do, constant custom events as well as plenty of end-game content to complete. Even with all the custom additions, game is very balanced. I would highly recommend this server to any RO fan.

Returned to RO after over 3 years hiatus. I must say - This server is glad I am playing again. The economy is balanced so well, and that in turns makes hunting loot enjoyable and rewarding. The community is very friendly, and there is usually a leveling party to join. The server has a lot of subtle unique customization, nothing that gives anyone an advantage which is good for everyone! The cash shop offers a lot of items (cosmetic only). Rise of Midgard has got me hooked and I love it!

love this server it is one of the best servers i've played in my life. Pretty well balances, no dungeons warper at least not at all levels this forced partys to enjoy their time hunting together in dungeos. The GM's and staff are extremely helpful whit any problem in game always looking out for players. There are events every day and much more things on this server to enjoy. I definitely recommend to give it a try.

Amazing server, pretty well balanced overall. Staff consistently online solving players problems and responding to doubts and requests. But most importantly, donation items only affect visual and aesthetics, no stats whatsoever! Also no custom broken gear of course. And this is a damn rare thing nowadays. I'm having the same thrill I had when used to play on official server back in the golden time. Couldn't recommend more.

I never thought 2017 would bring back the "original" feel of Ragnarok without feeling stale. RoM manages to maintain the classic allure of the game, while simultaneously adding balanced convenience features and new content to keep even veteran players hooked. The player and economic competition is steadily increasing, there's a ton of people playing, and it's a primarily English speaking community. This is by far going to be your best bet if you are looking to relive the glory days of RO.

I love the custom systems put in place to make the game more fun and work as a zeny sink at the same time, they are actually relevant changes this time and not just half assed sh*t that other devs vomit into their servers generally. Cash shop is all costumes besides BMs. Admins/staff always on discord to help with anything, and actively considering/implementing the sugerences in the forum. That aside the server does have some stability/lag issues, they really need to work on that right now. 9/10
