Having played this server for a few months now, it has become clear that the GMs want to remain 'neutral' when it comes to keeping the community from essentially verbally attack each other. GMs also very clearly verbally players in the main channel claiming "are just complaining" instead of being mature. Having GM'd on many servers, I've very aware of how stressful and difficult GMing can be, but that doesn't mean you can take your frustration out on players. Be an adult and GM, don't pick sides

Tired of all p2w shenanigans? Want a server with some quality of life features like autoloot, chat channels, kafra teleportation relaying? With a living market and stability? Some nice party bonus? I would you recommend you join OriginsRO. I joined recently and I am very happy with how things are going.

OriginsRO claims to be the closest thing to the original RO experience, yet the Dev team keeps 'fixing' stuff that didn't need fixing in the first place ie. party exp, cards effects (hello Hunter Fly Card) etc. A LOT of RMT going on behind the scenes and GM involvement in shady business I won't go into details here, ahem GM Ischia. Super toxic behavior that is 90% of the time overlooked by the GM team and overall, favoritism for some players. Stay away.

If there's one thing oRO does well it's balance; No donations of any kind, no god items, no bots and economy-preserving steps have been taken including nerfing donation-inducing drops like sleepers such that the economy is better for the 7 year old server than it is for most 1 year old pservers. I really can't emphasize enough the "no donations" part. Ragnarok is AMAZING when it isn't p2w. If you see someone with powerful gear you know they worked damn hard to get it and you can respect that.

I tried giving this server a chance again, thinking that maybe the Staff had changed their ways of actually punishing their friends for constant harassment towards specific guildies and members. Nothing has changed. Favoritism is greatly presented. Instead they're telling people they don't like to leave. So much for that promised "reform". Individual harassment and abuse in #main is heavily present and not much is being done. Changes fit only for GM's circle friends. Until this changes I'm out.

Good Things: Low lag, Good Stability, No bots, No cash shop. Bad things: Many skills don't work correctly. Blinding mist doesn't blind monsters, Whirlwind lets lov hit cecils, Fiberlock works on land protect, etc. Woe castle drops severely nerfed and god items are removed leading to a boring meta where people just gvg rather than take the castles. The staff is often rude, dismissive and are bad at communicating. They make arbitrary decisions with no player input. Harassment often goes unchecked.

Done playing this server. The server GMs have severe bias issue. People from one guild can get bullied/harassed and the GMs will done nothing but when it is someone they personally know or are friends with it is met with immediate action, which indicates a bias. After this review has been read a GM will reply to this comment stating "This isn't true and that we take serious action..blah blah blah" when in fact that is a lie.

Origins is a great server if you’re looking for a classic experience. I’ve been playing since Covid & origins really restored my faith in finding a good, fun classic to experience. Economy is stable, and woe is very active. Leveling at 5x rates is pretty easy, and their is always the option of partying. Minus the few notable trolls, the origins community is friendly. I highly recommended origins!

Started this server during the Corona Outbreak and haven't stopped playing until the writing of this review. The good - no bots (that i've seen), no donations, balanced economy, active and helpful GMs who put in hard work despite it being wholly voluntary. The bad - recent changes to the party dynamics. Before the latest patch, party play was always preferred to solo play, which was very nice. Now, it's no longer he case, but I have faith that the GMs will find the solution. Hence, I stay. Peace

The good: - There are donations, and therefore there can be no pay-to-win. - The server is fairly stable and many bugs have been fixed. - Very few bots. - Solid WoE The bad: - GMs are a bit of a grab bag depending on who you're talking to. Some are very unfriendly and petty. - If you're being harassed in main or discord, instead of taking action you're more likely going to be told to ignore and move on. If that doesn't work, it's your fault and you should shut up. Victim blaming happens often.
