The server had a lot of promise when it opened last year, but these days the GMs are essentially non-existent (too busy playing their own characters to actually work on any bugs) and MVPs are hard camped by the GMs' own guild. Economy is pretty bad (there are almost no merchants), though that is more a function of the lack of players than anything. No WOE. The few devoted players (10-15) are really friendly and helpful, but it isn't really enough to keep this server afloat.

I have never seen a GM online but I also don't have any issues to bring up with them. The player base is very friendly, everyone helping everyone else with getting started on leveling and equipment. I think everyone really wants this server to grow, and I hope it does too as I'm quite enjoying it!

Velvet RO is a new server roaming around and It caught my attention away from other servers as they have a incredibly updated mechanism for their server and the low rates are a plus point for me. I would definitely recommend players who are interested in renewal/third class jobs to try out velvet RO. Let's create a big community! (Though there are only about 40+ players, but im sure there will be more players soon to come!)

GM should be more available since there was many player that need the GM's helps. There are also some problems with the fonts. Sometimes weird fonts broadcasted out and in the quest windows also. Other than that this server is awesome, stable, lag-free at the moment. Overall is good. I will give it perfect if all the problems are fixed.

this server is sweet, we all got out from nymphro it is going offline in a day, and this is closest vanilla 1x1x1x there is so its a good one, ima enjoy it here. I can definitely say that this has a lot of potential as a server.The server is still growing and the GMs are working hard to help the server grow and flourish to it's full potential.The server is one of the most close-to-official renewal servers I've seen so far,and even one of the most up to date renewal servers too.Although the rates may be low, the players are outstanding,even helping players have a fun time leveling.The GMs here are very outstanding too!Been playing since launch and love it

Yes, the server could be still under development but rest assured it's gonna be one of the best renewal servers out there. GM team is always working and caring for the server, rates are soft yet interesting to play with, community is always friendly and competitive, balanced classes, good features and lots of autoevents. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Economy is almost unexistant but hey, it's a relatively new server with low population. It's certainly growing at a safe rate. TRY IT!

Mixed feelings about this server, i really enjoy the ratings and the feeling that i'm playing on official formulas but with nice customization without broken unbalancing items on the cash shop! on the other hand the community isn't friendly at all, feels like a tight group that ostracizes new players and the server has some ongoing lag issues aswell.

After a long hiatus from RO since 2008, I was hit with nostalgia and felt like playing again. I wanted a renewal server with limited customization, a fair population, and an active community. Searching took a while, but I ended up in VelvetRO and am enjoying my stay. -SERVER: Haven't experienced downtime -COMMUNITY: Welcoming and competitive. Active in game, forums, and raidcall. Nice customization (nicest custom npc choices I've seen so far), but that is all. Plenty of bugs, no players (and that very few is rather unfriendly), no woe, few auto-events, plenty of excuses, slow patches, still in beta.
