The server has significantly improved in GM activity, and has implemented many features that I find exquisite that reward players for how much effort they put into their characters as opposed to rewarding them extensively for giving them a lot of money. I find that it IS possible to do significantly well, even if you choose not to donate (though donating will certainly speed things along), as donation items are trade-able and sold by players. The community is generally helpful and friendly.
