Since the added of renewal years ago, the server quality has drastically fell. The economy has been reliant on miths and mining for the longest time. Any new player coming into gatheringRO WILL struggle getting anywhere. You start off with little to no zeny, and there are some quests that are extremely important in which no one is reliant to help you out with. The server has split into several cliques. Pre-renewal gRO had an average of 600 players. With Renewal it has hardly 200 constant players

At each MVP's death is a tomb with the time. Since this is a PK server, there is essentially gvgs at every tomb and it is extremely fun. Leveling to 255 is daunting but there are weekly +EXP% events. GMs are easily available via discord or in the main town as well. There is a lack of events, but from the looks of it, the main focus is developing and adding new features. Everyone is friendly, and any questions you have can be addressed in the #main chat, or asking in the main city.
