If you have always loved the PvM aspect of RO, Payon Stories is the server for you. The server has modified the EXP table for almost every mob, which balances the HP and difficulty ratio to their exp, making many monsters much more viable as compared to old school RO. I personally love exploring the world and leveling at places regular servers would never travel to due to poor exp and drops. In addition to that, the server has occasional events and costumes to keep everyone busy.

There is no server better than Payon Stories currently. There are very mild edits to it to make the annoyances of classic less annoying. There is an active WoE scene, active MvP scene, and active leveling groups. The only thing I think the GMs could give some love is PvP. It is currently very expensive to be a PvP player, since the rates are low.

This server is promising, from the community itself to the one and only GM, everyone is kind which is what we need nowadays. Pre-re that aims to bring renewal instances for extra enjoyment, of course it will be adjusted to pre-re setup. Everything is organized in game and proxies are being worked on and tested by a lot to ensure smooth play. Y'all should give this server a try.

As others have already mentioned in the previous reviews, I will just add that this server is not a very newbie. Items are being consumed without taking effect. Imagine using up to 20+ items just to be effective (such as Butterfly Wing)
When you complain about it, the GM will just say "You are lagging" or "You are having a packet loss" even though this was not the case with other RO servers or other games. They will just throw an unconvincing explanation and you just live with it.

I'm actually glad you left, and I'd appreciate if you didn't treat reviews as a chat forum. I've acknowledged the issue you mentioned, and we're actively working to fix it—this affects a very limited number of players and we've provided solutions. More often than not, it's an issue on your end—either lag or packet loss due to your location. We expect to have it resolved soon, though it seems you won’t be around to benefit from the improvements.
The GM is very easy to approach and accommodating. The setup of the server is made to be unique out of all Pre-Renewal servers with the QoL, NPCs, Quests, Daily events, Daily Dungeons/Monsters and ETC. you will find yourself in a new Ragnarok world that you will surely enjoy with your friends. Give the server a try first to experience it first hand.

If you're looking for a pre-renewal server to reminisce the good ol' days of RO with a blend of re-renewal balance, this is the platform for you. Evolve is a young server, with a small community that has the normal baggage for a Ragnarok server. Rates are advertised as 5/5/3 but 7/7/7 on weekends for #HappyWeekend and there are numerous bonus experience perks here making leveling seamless on top of iRO Repeatable Quests and the eden group. Great GM! Recommended!

Server will launch on May 10th, but I have tried during CBT as well as OBT, and it turned out fun to play. They have automatic events throughout the day, many cool headgears and costumes to craft. Hourly system and daily log in system are also offering balance items. GM is extremely friendly to talk to and he really listens to players feedbacks. There is log systems so you could see what his plans are and where he is on progress. He's a great GM besides some mood swing episodes, lol. See you.

Disappointed with the fake server's population, at the moment of writing this comment population is 1282, where 850 auto-traders on afk, and 432 online players, where more than half of the players are on online afk in order to get time points for 24h of online and get blue boxes, thus admin's cheat RMS about real server populations of active, I want to highlight the word "active" players.
Asked this in Discord - was abbused by other players, that it is not my deal, sad =(

Trying to label us as faking online numbers? We're the largest single client server out there. Yes, some players AFK farm Blue Boxes—it's part of the game and doesn't impact the mechanics. Your other claims are baseless. We consistently respond to inquiries on Discord. By the way, were you the one banned yesterday for RMT?
