EssenceRO has terrible GMs who ban you for ridiculous sh*t like pvm, being accused of cheats without any proof etc. They can't even give legitimate reasons as to why people are banned. You can never get a hold of them either, they're always afk in game and on IRC. There has not been any substantial updates since 2009. The economy is horrible, and there's countless MVP cards. As for the community, it's nonexistent. WoE here is 2 guilds fighting over the emp. The term "GVG" is not on this server

The only good thing about this server is the balanced classes. Other than that I really hate this server. The people here aren't that friendly and seem to have formed a friendship that doesn't really welcome outsiders that well. The PvP room has no room for you to learn since everyone there knows each other and gangs up on a new person coming into the arena. The GMs are hardly on and when they are, they're usually slacking off in Gonryun. The events are lame too

EssenceRO has tons of good points, but bad points are specially BAD. The worst part are the GMs. They rarely listen and I rarely find any of them online. If this server had more caring GMs it would be the perfect Mid Rate server, but for now it fails badly because of this. On the other hand, eRO is a great server itself (not counting GMs). It has tons of custom quests and drops, perfect for players looking for customized characters.

Let me just say something right now...the Head GM, Paradox, has ruined everything. This used to be one of the best Midrates I knew of, until the big database crash happened. Reason being was that Tira (the former Head GM) left, thus leaving eRO in the hands of Paradox. He has run it into the ground. Nuking people without reason, not being helpful, not fixing things. Not to mention the community is terrible. I would not recommend this server for anyone looking for an awesome time on RO. :(

I have been playing on Essence for more than a year, and as much as I would like to write a positive review, I can't. In all those years of playing RO, on different servers, I have never had to deal with such a rotten community. People are either silent, or will troll everyone who _dares_ to ask legitimate questions. No updates, no events, the staff is usually unavailable or annoys players out of pure boredom. No, @nuke out of the blue, on every map, isn't funny. I rather not play RO than on eRO

GM's are never online, and if they are then they go to PVP or Woe. If they are bored they kill every player or freez/sleep/poison them. the community is not much... the most of them go to they guild towns, and if you ask something you get trolled around.i played on this server more than 1 year and i must say i saw only 2 event's. they never make update's.

This is one of the worst servers i ever played,The community is silent and never talks AT ALL.The marketing is just so confusing.There are many many BOTTERS in the game that GM doesnt give a SH*t about and instead,support them.GM is very rude,abusive in power and talk plenty of crap,NUKES people,SILENCE them,and of course.BAN for no apparent reason.Especially GM Faust,which is the most unfriendly and rude GM i ever met.This a horrible server no one should ever PLAY!

Played here a long time ago, recently returned. Bad idea. Community is basicly dead and most players seem to be vending, what real people there are very unfriendly. Staff team horribly unprofessional, new server owner (not sure what happened here??) seems to like sitting in town and making fun of players / abusing GM commands. Class balance used to be great, now average. I don't play in woe but hear regular complaints that its now zerg rush to emp with no skill needed. Going back to Lumina.

This is one of the worst servers I have ever been to. The community contains not one trace of helpfulness. I felt completely shunned upon starting a fresh new character. I was harassed the first day I was there continuously and when the issue was brought to a GM they merely laughed at me and proceeded to harass me with name calling. The staff is horrible and corrupt. The economy is one of the worst I have ever seen. I would suggest you stay away from this festering sea of trolls.

Generally 800-1200 players in game, 500-800 non-vendors, and 1000+ for WoE." <--- This is old and outdated and it is total bullsh*t, even back then when this ad was wrote there was NOT 1k+ players on for WoE, WoE doesnt even exist here, what you have instead is a rush to the emp and the best guild breaks it! (or luckiest), yes 1.0 woe. WoE and BG haven't been updated in forever. Infact the current head GM pretty much stole ownership from the MIA server owner.
