PayonStories is an amazing server within the category. Community is pretty friendly, no donation whatsoever, very nice events. There is a fair amount of custom dungeons which are beautifully made. The content is really exciting. Also there are many costume items available (just for looks, do not give any stat bonuses)

This server has come so far in the short time its had to rebuild and it shows! While I am a super casual player I have been playing the game on and off since 2005 and this is easily my server of choice for that true Ragnarok feeling. The owners are very considerate of the game and they are always making efforts to keep the server growing, engaged and fun. Highly recommend people giving this server a chance.

If you are yearning for a nostalgic RO experience, then this server is the perfect choice.Friendly community that creates a welcoming environment for newbies. The server stays true to the original gameplay while also incorporating refreshing changes and revamping outdated mechanics (e.g buffing weak classes/skills).I've been roaming some classic RO servers and let me tell you, some stuff did NOT age well. Attentive GMs that listen for community suggestions. Still a newcomer, but highly recommend

After a 10 year hiatus from RO, returning to a low-rate server wasn't the intention; stumbling upon Payon Stories was definitely a treat. Great party play, events, and updates rolling through fairly frequently. Efforts to balance the server with XP and minor tweaks to skills to improve QoL can be seen. No donation systems means (mostly) honest gameplay. Custom dungeons are nice additions. Economy could definitely (and easily) be boosted by inflow of new players, constant average of 150 players.

I love this server because of the friendly and enthusiastic community that plays here. We are all fans of classic RO, but the modern quality of life improvements and character balances make it fun and easy to play. The GM team is friendly and there is no donation system on the server. It is also a unique server in the sense that you cant dual client. RMT and botting is also banned here. You really have to build yourself up like a real MMO. The WoE community is active, friendly, and welcoming.

The staff are friendly. Most of my interactions w/ players has been nice. Good QoL changes. Exp is more like 2x with balance changes. Custom content like quests and dungeons is fun and unique, while staying balanced w/ vanilla. Seasonal events. No cash shop or donations. All around, a good classic server with a fresh spin.

I love this server, they buffed Battle priest with holy stike, and alchemist. I dont need plant bottle and marine sphere bottle for summon flora and sphere. <3 Also I can be baby class without adopted.Baby char with 99 stat + cuteness its awesome.

i LOVE PaysonStories! Met many friendly ppl some are toxic but will get kicked after multiple missbehaivour. They hold on on the true and real spirit of an human being! WoE is very intersting with that Balanceing and the ppl r all sportsmen orientated! Cant say often enough how much fun i had the whole time since im here!

2 months in this server. People are active and helpful. You ask one thing and many will respond to you right away. House rules are followed by players and offenders are punished fairly. Economy is great because its a low rate server and there are no custom "donation only" items. Whether you are a pvm / pvp type of player, Im pretty sure youre gonna enjoy playing in this server.
