The only server who cares about balancing classes and modify to have fair advantage in battle. It was difficult leveling and farming because it;'s a 1x rate but it is how ragnarok is meant to be played unlike high rates for lazies.

I saw Dastgir on a field in Payon yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person but I didn't want to bother him with any suggestions or anything. He said, "Oh, like you're doing now?" I was shocked, all I could reply was "What" but he kept killing my character and resing me over and over again. I finally was able to walk away and continue leveling but I saw him type "heh" as I walked off. When I went back to town I saw him giving away miniboss cards for free.

Great vanilla server! The changes in general and QoL features are spot on. Reasonable and necessary class balancing are subtle yet very effective. Party play is huge and usually it's the most effective way of lvling and farming (smaller dynamic parties work well too). The mods are friendly and eager to help you, the same goes for 99% of the players :D. Pls ignore the low rating reviews, they prob got banned for doing something stupid like multi, RMT or macroing. I'm having a fantastic time! :)

Great classic Ragnarok server 1X server (however its a little more than 1X) card drops are 0.03, the grind is fun however. People make parties to level up are party xp is wayy higher! do not miss this server if you want a stable reliable server that you can level and game on. Payon Stories is class!

I used to give a perfect 100 score to this server. Here are the strong points. One of the best servers in terms of customization. The changes are spot on. The job modifications are what ive been looking for for decades. Very balanced economy, gameplay and great original content. But the LAAAAG has been crazy lately especially for SEA players. no matter how great your gear are or perfect your reflexes and fast your internet is if your mobber freezes every second you end up dying every time.

Nice server, nice community, nice GMs, generally nice customs. It's a nice low rate server that tries to fix some issues RO had, such as some classes/builds being overly dominant. Sometimes it misses the mark, but overall they're constantly trying to fix issues. I'm currently not WoEing so I can't comment on that. It's a nice server if you want a low rate but don't want exactly the same old.

It's not classic, it's custom, pay-to-win, also full of botters. They changed skills and added b****hit items that nothing to do with classic. You can't do MVP due the toxic GM's own overedited characters. Imbalance on donations.

Been playing the server for some time and would always recommend it. Classic feel with unique class changes that expand character options and allow for some more obscure builds to shine. Server is stable and has no pay to win mechanics.

Payon stories i 100% play to win, no top up..really remind me the old 2000's ragnarok classic..well balanced job and skill..easy leveling with party..free to chat in global, form a party but no one dare to spamming or trashtalking Just follow this party path..easy to get 99 even without geared..wolf>migao>seal>anolian>medusa..im so happy playing here

Decided to come back and redo my previous review. I've been playing on the server for almost a couple months now, and it has truly grown on me. A great balance of true classic feeling, mixed in with some unobtrusive balance changes and custom content, can't ask for more personally. This is a 1x server and I love making new chars and grouping with all kinds of people. Occasional disconnect here and there but few and far between really. I really look forward to more time here as my RO home <3
