Perhaps one of the private renewal servers which is up to date. However, I felt like it is too much pay2win. If you are thinking of getting to the events in the game, probably need to spend around $500 in order to make your character updated and strong and useful in top parties. As soon as you start to make your character, things go fast - you pretty much reach the end-game in like a day or so which ruins the real spirit of Ragnarok. On the side note, GMs are quite active and helpful.

Terrible custom class balance changes in both PvP and PvM, Admin is a dictator and is above the own rules he made, BGs are dead even on happy hour, WoE is almost dead because he banned all the competition, updates are not spaced out properly so it's extremely difficult to keep up with gear, some things are costumized to be extremely grindy when they shouldn't be. All in all, what was once the go to renewal server is now a sinking ship and a noob trap.

Re-reviewing after a year playing. Server is stable, tho crashes occurs especially in WoE and it's not rare to happen. The server is mostly up, but it is HEAVILY LAGGING, server is located at Canada which is not a balance location to host the server as the players are mostly US/EU/SEA. GMs are mostly afk or not doing anything but friendly. Economy is good, no bots. Class balance is sh*t, only few classes are really good both for PvM and PvP. Ex. Star Emp is overpowered while Warlock is trash-PvM

Probably the most crowded server I ever been since official, even the most player AFK or using dual/triple client, but servers seems lively, GM usually active with their events, but sometimes so laggy, we even have to broke the party because unstable connections. the big problem was unbalanced class, the party usually didn't accept "useless" job like low level blacksmith/rogue etc at gramp, also WL were so weak, even the damage were so low compare to ranger with same budged equips.

Refining is very hard. If you want to be rich, high refine gears then sell to other players is the best option but it will take you a lot of effort and zeny before you made one +10 good gears. If your not doing any in real life and want to be a good strong rich player, then NovaRO is the best for you.

I used to have best friend and friend to do PvM together in this great server. But thanks to KotD events, we aren't even on speaking basis again. Thanks for the great event GM. You're breaking a lot of player relationship by making this stupid event. And GM suddenly decide which skill is bug and which isn't on last day kotd, which is clear favoritism on #1 team (looking at elem change and disabled warmer). There's even rumor that #1 team have a GM on it. Basically rigged event from the start.

Good and stable sever to play long time. The Market and Wiki are very good. You will have infomation about any item you want to buy in webshop, you can check the price and go direcly to the shop that sell the item. Update regularly, high poplation.

This is used to be #1 server but not anymore. NovaRO became famous for being very close to kRO but it started lagging out on updates. Other servers have caught up and actually surpassed the server. For a server who takes pride in following kRO its admin is fond of customizing stuff. And d server is still stuck in the medieval refining system. For a game that requires overups to get item effects this server has abyssmal refine rates which funnels players into spending cash shop stones. P2W much?

I trust the server owner knows what they're doing when they decide to implement the most recent content updates, and that there's extensive playtesting done to ensure it's fun for everyone, but good Lord, the latest update will kick your butt if you haven't been grinding instances every day for the past few months. Additionally, many jobs have had drastic changes, so many are confused as to how to play their class, making partying frustrating. Give it a couple weeks for its wikis to update.
