LRO is a unique, progressive way to experience the revo ruleset. Luna, the owner, continually tinkers with skills; for example, Backstab is actually useful. The community is small but charming and frequently entertaining. I highly recommend making use of their Discord. The server itself gives me an excellent latency and is always up. Luna is very receptive to reasonable suggestions: The cash shop no longer offers OP sh*t of any kind, crimson weapon BS is deleted. Good server and getting better!

So far, so good. I was reluctant to try retRO because of the EU tag for latency reasons, but I'm getting an excellent ping in the US. Amazon can really deliver so the hosting and server stability is A++. People seem nice so far, and the GMs regularly crank out events that give very minor boosts like 1.5x xp and costumes to farm from rare monsters. No imba BS. No donations, no rewards for votes/writing reviews. Very good, rational old-school design philosophy for the classic player.

Well, you have to see this crap to believe it. imgur.com/a/IkydfAL I come to bat for same-sex marriage and it gets jumped on by trolls, one of whom literally says no thanks, kill the gays. What does Lord J do? Deletes my posts pointing to all of the successful low-rate servers accommodating the LGBT gamer community and leaves the homophobic crap. Red flag, LGBT/allied gamers stay FAR away. Toxicity towards you is formally tolerated here.

I was a little nervous about the custom changes at first. HOW DARE YOU CHANGE PERFECTION?! Then I gave Oath a try. Skills/builds that didn't work? They work! Are they better than the traditional meta? No. But, imagine Alchemist being fun to play, pre-homun. The changes are smart, and don't really change the balance already know. Plus the GM and CMs are actually nice. You're allowed to have opinions on their Discord lmao. Give Oath a shot. It's what's hot right now.
