Head GM is clueless that doesn't understand the game mechanics (thinking stats effect freeze res, maya p is a hack) and updates the server once a month with no indication of what's being worked on. If you criticise him he just bans you from the discord. Server went from 250+ to 30 with vendors. Only 2 pieces of unique gear released in 4 months and absolutely NO CONTENT FOR MAX LEVEL!! No customization. He clearly doesn't know how to code and tricked the server owner into appointing him.

Hi. To defend ourselves here, you actively spew a lot of misinformation about our server and complain about absolutely everything in an incredibly negative way. While we appreciate your dedication, discussion, and how much you care about this server, your feedback is not constructive. We patch the server at least twice per month, in most cases more to help with balance and add content. The lead GM actively spends 50+ hours per week on dev work with no donations. This server used to be very populated but has been on a steady decline since its release. From 150+ to now 30~ with 20ish vendors. GM's are nice when they are around, but the head admin doesn't understand RO mechanics (thought seeing cloaked players with maya p was a hack). The biggest guild BC has left the server due to the admin making drastic changes without any input from community. Upcoming changes kept hidden til its implemented. Nothing to do once u are max lvl but mvp. No GvG or PvP

Hi. I'd like to clarify here that a lot of changes come directly from the community in both discord and focus group testing with several community members. In our defense Maya p hack looks exactly like wearing a maya p card, and we didn't even accuse the person of it, it was a question when viewing a video. Every patch adds more and more things to do and the lead GM actively spends more than 50 hours per week on server development. We hope you will come back one day and reconsider your review.

Played on this server since launch and was one of the top PVP player and also in one of the top guild. One of the servers unique features is that AGI affects aftercast-delay, which means having total of 150 AGI, you'll be to spam skills with zero ACD. Having said that, that is also one of the biggest problem this server has aside from GM Team not knowing anything about RO, it caused other classes to become extremely imbalanced. Hi there. Our GM team is very knowledgeable about RO, but game design is hard and RO is naturally a pretty balanced game. No ACD is a feature of ObsidianRO and the community has voted to keep it. That being said, we are actively balancing around that, and I think with the most recent patches we are pretty close to being there. It has unfortunately been a rough ride but content patches are not a higher priority than balance patches. Hope you will try us out again soon if you have left.

255/120 server that runs 99/70 mechanics. Practically dead after being up for only 3 months. Head GM makes ridiculous, drastic changes to the server that have lead up to one of the biggest WoE guilds at the time to QUIT. Do not recommend at all if you're trying to find a competitive woe server to play on. EXTREMELY GRINDY FOR A HIGH RATE!!!!! Drop rates for cards and items are HORRID. GM's favor Apoc and Vengeance. Steer clear.

Hi there. Thanks very much for your review. The direction we've taken with ObsidianRO is to make it a high rate feel with no aftercast delay, and a decent levelling rate while also making players work towards maxing their character. We give a lot of EXP bonuses as well. The changes made to the server are to balance the overpowered nature of magic classes with no aftercast delay. We're working hard on content as well. A vanilla server that is less then 1 month old that has plenty of room for change(better or worse). It's main attraction is that it's revolved around a popular streamer known as summit1g. The team running the server are inexperienced and their decision making is based on the nostalgic feelings they had when they first played RO. I recommend this server for whoever wants to meme in chat and a chance to say hi to summit. I do not recommend this server if you're looking for literally anything else.

Hello! Thanks for your review. We've worked very hard to differentiate ourselves from the vanilla feel and from other servers. While we had some bumps in the first month with direction, we're on a clear path and the team has good ideas for the direction we want to take going forward. We are not simply a meme server, though we do enjoy laughing and having a lot of fun. Since your review, we've made numerous changes, adding quests, headgears, costumes, class balance updates and more.
