I initially joined this server with the intentions of simply hanging around to fill my RO nostalgia. 6 months later, and I'm still playing in it. I have made friends and had some friendly competition by purely playing PvM. It is a great server if you are looking for a very close implementation of the original RO experience. The GMs are very helpful, and the community is very willing to help in Discord when issues arise.

Server has the best configuration of any low rate and there is solid infrastructure for globally good ping. The server's vision is good and GMs are mostly competent. This is a server for hardcore players and people who want a vanilla experience. WOE is somewhat competitive with multiple guilds attending. Community is friendly but a little less competitive than one might expect from a server catered to hardcore players. Would recommend starting with a friend.

If you're looking for a server that tickles your RO nostalgia then retRO is the place for you. We have a friendly and active community with very dedicated GMs who don't accept donations and don't allow anyone to have an unfair advantage. The server is still young so we don't have a lot of max level characters or absurd amounts of zeny, this makes it a great server to start out fresh. Come join the fun!

Update after a littel more than 10 months: The Server is very stable and improvements and QoL features are implemented weekly. The GM's are very helpful and increadibly active in Discord. On special occasions there are very nice events which were created with a lot of love and creativity. I have long been looking for such a server and am glad to have found my home here. Players from every nation are on the server and there no lantency problems even from other continents.

Excelente servidor, é exatamente oq eu procurava. Eu jogava no antigo BRO servidor CHAOS mas infelizmente os ROPS e atualizações estragaram o jogo. precisamos fazer com que o retRO tenha mais jogadores, é um ótimo servidor e mesmo sendo hospedado na europa o ping é baixo.

RetRO feels and plays like back in the early days of RO. Drops and levels are harder to get, but the satisfaction of achieving them is increased as well. People are friendly and the WoE scene is pretty competitive. The administration has a solid vision for their server and seem committed to being as accurate as possible to the episodic version of RO that they are running. The only exception is when certain behaviors could possibly be abused due to lower population than 2000s era officials.

I love this Game since 2004. The GM is very active and very responsive to all our queries and the people/player is very friendly and helpful most especially on the newbies. Got to meet a lot of people/player from other countries. OVerall rating 10/10.

Great server in terms of stability and honesty - you can expect it will be alive when you are about to retire (whatever you age). Classic 1x1 with zero customization affecting game itself or your character look. No fancy things. You will not even find official color pallets here. This server is hard. Game Masters listen to their community and mostly on top of things. WOE has a place for competition for sure. Recommended for hardcore players only. Avg online up and down - we saw better times idd.

A true classic RO experience with dedicated and friendly staff to ensure the well being of the server. The community is friendly with a few active guilds. All this server is lacking is a bigger population to make it the best server out there. Highly recommend!

overall a good server to join if you want some nostalgic ro experience, there's no donation system. general population is friendly aside from few individuals, expected in online community. gms have good intentions. they also try to stick with official settings, but confirmed that custom balances may be made if they feel it's for better of server. personally i dislike inconsistencies and while it's easier said than done, would like to know all foreseeable changes as early as possible to save time
