Returning retired players be warned. This is not a newbie-friendly server. You may stumble upon good people along the way, but I'd say 8 out of 10 players here are professionals with high-expectation. Parties are mostly streamlined to a specific leveling route, so don't expect community play outside of that. Haven't seen any GM, and don't think it'll matter. And, things here are super expensive - so pray to your god for lucky cards to sell. So you can afford stuff to start off efficiently.

Decent server overall. With the rebalance, it feels like 2-5x instead of 1x. Decent customization to make under utilized jobs and build archetypes better, but sometimes over customized and jobs end up nearly unrecognizable. Heavy emphasis on static parties, if you love standing idly in a cell to level the fastest, this is your server. (about 5-10x faster than solo/small party) Community is abysmal and admin/CM selectively moderate. You don't get punished ever if you know the right people.

It had started on Oath when there were only 100 online, today the server has 700 people on average joining the merchants. The big problem seems to be that the ADm hasn't prepared itself for the growth of the comunity, and neither does the size and competence of the staff. Today there is a lack of decent updates, late support tickets, late class rebalancing, evetns that are being repeated from the last year, as there are no devs to develop new ones. Disproportionate mass bans, etc.

Top tier server no p2w in any way, professional staff and serius, transparent server. Need some work on the balance class, and need more event and more pvp content aoutside woe. Party oriented server, no doble login.

Game no longer feels classic as more custom contents are becoming the META. Staff team is incredibly nice and professional, but sometimes some of them can be pretty ignorant, especially in gameplay mechanics. Their discord is loosely moderated, hence there are many rude and egoistic adult children running around. This is quite a big problem as intelligent discussions are no longer possible without being interrupted by someone's feelings getting hurt. Really sad to see discord in such state.

It's not a classic server. Leveling is also easy at least 5-10 times the rates. The server is HIGHLY customized & it's like classic characters on steroids. They have done some good balancing of unviable builds before, which is good. Apart from that game itself is smooth. Community is pretty sh*t. Heavy trolling, racism, sexism may be seen here and there. The server is good if you don't mind heavy customizations to skills & OP gears. If you're looking for classic there are better options

I like OathRO, it seems like it's run by people who know what they're doing, and there isn't any pay2win nonsense. That being said, the economy is pretty slow, and I don't necessarily agree with all the choices they've made when it comes to custom content and QoL. So far the community has been somewhat lacking, forging services are slow to get back to people and guilds are quiet, but the heart of the game is here and that's more than I can say for a lot of servers. I recommend trying it out!

Been playing about three months now, customisations and balances to the skills make it fun. Custom content is gated behind a timed boss that is heavily comped locking most people out. A power gap is developing. Sadly the top guilds have a monopoly on the items from it. Economy is okay, wish pure pvm players had less input on the woe balance. Weird drama and personal attacks aimed at players in art contests. More play less drama would make this server perfect.

I have been playing this server for about 3 months and it’s been going down hill. As others have mentioned the map grinding is an issue and will get worse as time goes on with more players. A lot of effort has gone into customization for better or worse I do enjoy it. A big guild just joined so the server is growing which is great. The other post that was made about the discord bullying is a bit iffy, some guy/girl was pretty much bullied off the server by comitee members and plyrs 4acrit debate

While I think Oath's intentions are good, I feel decisions are made for those who are loudest in the Discord server. This has made the place feel unwelcoming for those who aren't out to have an active role in the community or have lots of spare time. Game tweaks are fine and interesting, but information is inconsistent unless I comb through tons of logs. The server is fun, but it's impeded by constantly being unsure of what's actually going on with changes that affect maps, builds, rules, etc.
