I've played on this server for a very long time. GMs are quick to respond to most issues, and are almost always available on the discord server as well. Its a very friendly server, with plenty of custom content, including renewal stuff rebalanced for pre-re. Most classes have also been rebalanced to make many builds more viable, along with many other fixes. The economy isn't bad, but heRo has been around for a long time. Guild competition is what it is. Woe is on hold while it gets updated.

Good pvm server with content customized for pre-renewal while maintaining the feel of it so you don't have to relearn everything, but only look at what's added to the known system. There's lots of custom items or changed mechanics to boost weaker builds (like bird sniper or grand cross). Server is old and always available with no wipes in 17 years. It's great for ppl to hop in, take a break, and come back at your own pace. Market is lopsided to mvp drops over regular mob drops though.

GMs/DevTest team are always working to bring new and balanced content for everyone, you will always find something to do. GMs can be reached via server's Discord for any issue or question you may have, or even the community there can help you most of the time. Everyone is friendly in the server, don't let anyone tell you something until you see it for yourself

A fun low rate pre-renewal server. There are no wipes so you won't lose progress, all these years later it still feels like home. Server customization contains exclusive enemies, equipment, QOL upgrades & events, including an orientation quest that gets newcomers to lv80 and the new ROguelite event. WOE has always been bad and in-game feels like a ghost town at times, so don't forget to join their friendly active discord server, where you'll find GM's and nearly 500 of heRO's players & veterans

Small, friendly community with always something to do or look forward to. Like the original game we look at with nostalgia, but massively improved for 2023 standards. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and drama is minimal. The PVM scene is the most varied out of every other server, with many post-renewal dungeons being adjusted for pre-reneal requiring a variety of different strategies, play styles and classes. Lower level playthrough suffers with little to do except hero's journey.

A server that's been around for a rather long time. Population is fairly friendly for the most part, with some rough ones but that is true for any game population. Fun events that can be done both via GM and player as well.

This server manages to maintain a very good custom, although balanced, Pre-Renewal gameplay experience. The players are friendly, and the server itself is pretty fun. I just wish that the GMs were more active, but I do understand that people have busy lives to live.

I've hopped in and out of RO, and always look for low rate servers. So far the best one is definitely HeRO. I'm playing here for 2months-ish now an encountered little to no issues! Friendly community and GMs, newbie friendly quests and stable economy, the GMs are quick to respond with questions and suggestions and are very active on discord. My only critique is the lack of events for players to mess with, but overall a server worth a try, maybe this'll be your new RO home~.

I'm a returning player and I can't believe this server is still alive. I was bored before since it is one of the first low-rate servers I joined and I don't have any experience with playing Ragnarok before. Now, I am enjoying recreating my characters using their Hero Journey quests. I would highly recommend this server if you just want a pure sit-back-relax Ragnarok play with little or no toxic players at all.

A friendly and stable server. Custom content is extensive and interesting, adding new options for leveling. Party play is limited due to it's low population though the release of abyss 4 is successful and a lot of fun. Majority of the community can be found on discord, questions regarding the server and gameplay are answered quickly and is generally helpful. Highly recommend trying it out.
