Stable and long standing server where your progress is never lost, no matter how many years you go without playing. The customs are very balanced, donations are balanced (aka no cash grabs), and there's little to no drama. Updates and QOL improvements happen often. Seasonal events are always fun and entertaining.

Everyone's friendly and helpful including the GMs and there's many things to do so I'm never bored. The custom areas are huge and exploring every bit of them is loads of fun. There's a ton of headgears to collect, and countless pets, each with their own unique effects too! Come join!

I've been with the server for around a decade now. The community and the GM team is very welcoming and helpful as always. There is always new custom content so you always have something to do. The server is very stable. I've never experienced any trouble due to server issues. Despite my long breaks from playing I'm always at ease that the server is always there for me to return to. Overall it is a great place if you're looking for a server to stay with for a very long time.

joined in 2010, and for all of my wandering off and life events through the past decade, every time i get the itch to come back to RO, heRO has always been here. with a steady stream of custom content- between new regions and roleplay plotlines, items and build possibilities- there's always something new to try. i love coming back from my breaks to see what's been added and still steep in my nostalgia. small, stable server, helpful community, friendly and responsive GMs. can't recommend enough.

problems get fixed lightning fast and the GMs actually listen to players so its a great place to play...cant wait to see whats coming next...need more people for pvp/gvg/bg...join us and ask for help on @main and you´ll be showered with stuff;)

I've returned playing ROK since this quarantine times and hunting the suitable server made me enlist HERO as first on my top 5. The aesthetic art is astounding it's like a sequel of the game. Customization is cool and enough to pour fun times setting up my characters. You won't even worry for a meltdown like other far-eastern servers do, HERO has been here like years old. There's just times that it's laggy, though it's because I'm halfway around the globe. Hope there'll be a proxy on Asia soon.

A stable and great server. Though the community isn't the size it used to be everyone is helpful and friendly, and the GMs work tirelessly to provide new content like massively detailed maps and dungeons, complete with community created artwork for all the new yummy enemies and equips. The best PvE Ragnarok experience you can find, with a few casual pvp players still in the mix. Definitely check out the very active discord server for parties and things!Monthly GM hosted events are very rewarding

I am old Ro player. I played Hero server starting in 2008 and left in between. but still kept coming back to Hero as there is no other ro server similar to this. which makes me feel that it is one of the best low rate classic co server out there. GM's are always friendly as far i remember even after coming back to the server. If i had to pick any of the best low rate ro server. I would choose Hero Server as one of the best. And best part to me in Hero was i saw zero toxic players.

Stable server with nice community, more than 14 years running nonstop, server has lots of custom stuff, lore and builds. Pre-renewal based but has maps/mobs/items from renewal, customized to pre-re mechanics. Server has world wide people, main chat is kinda slow but discord is always active and you can find people there. If you play(ed) here and stopped for some reason, server has no wipe, so you can always return and find yourself the same as before. Give a try, players are willing to help you

Solid server with a really approachable GM team. Custom content, mobs and regions are top notch quality comparable to official content. Custom gearsets offer support for 'lower tier' builds like Combo monks, Battle Priests, Crit Soul Linkers, Autoblitz Hunters, etc. So you can have fun with these builds while also being usable and not a complete meme. Guild competition is low. The server is mostly PvM although I've been seeing some WoE activity lately with castles being fought over.
